It’s Time to Check Your Tires
Seasonal Tire Check and Change
Remember, Heat Expands & Sun Cracks Your Tires
That’s right! It’s time to get out there and check your tires even if you have a tire pressure sensor in your car. They fail all the time so don’t ever rely on technology fully. If it feels like you just did it, you’re probably right. First, you have to do it regularly. Second, it’s getting hot out so it’s very important! You don’t want to be stuck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere when it’s 110 degrees out.
During the Summer months, the best time to check your tires is in the morning before driving for the day. The air is cool out and so are your tires. Grab a tire pressure gauge from the local auto parts store and put it in your car, if you haven’t already. Checking your tires takes 5 minutes.
Your tires must be at the recommended PSI level (usually between 30-35 psi) in the morning. Don’t over inflate your tires because hot air expands and can cause your tires to explode. If you see any signs that your tires may be cracked, bulging, worn down, cut or anything else visible, get into Point S Tires as soon as possible. Getting ahead of it will potentially save you tons of time and money. Don’t wait!
