The winter time is always the most difficult time of the year to find fun things to do because it’s much more difficult to go outside. Even if you’re a trooper, not too many people are up for getting out in the rain and snow to play unless they are enjoying some winter sport with the proper clothing.
There are also many fun things to do indoors if you have the right location to do them. During the winter, it’s easy to go to a gym or family fitness center. One can even go bowling or to the movie theaters for entertainment. There are quite a few options available.
The same thing goes with the R/C Hobby. It’s not quite as easy to enjoy outdoors on a regular basis during the winter due to weather conditions. However, depending where you live in the country, there may be a place to go during the winter months. Here in Southern Oregon, there are three and we have helped and enjoy helping all three.
One would think they compete, when in fact, all of them have their own unique niche. Since there are multiple small communities in Southern Oregon, having multiple options is great way to connect people from around the area. It also allows for a greater variety, especially during the winter.
So, if you are a person who enjoys R/C Cars and Trucks of all types, you can go visit one of your local hobby shops. Many of them will sell a wide variety of different hobby options including scaled train sets, R/C planes and even toy models.
One thing people tend to forget. There is one common denominator between all the hobbies mentioned on this page. They all involve interacting with other people in the real world. We will always promote getting out off the couch and getting out of the house so you can meet new people and also exercise. Just moving your body and talking to people will make your life so much better than sitting around. Enjoy yourself and help others do the same!
